NEDERLAND, lingot en argent de 4 livres d'Amsterdam, estampillé du poinçon VOC/ MZ (Vereenichte Oost-Indische Compagnie, Middelburg Zeeland) et d'une rosette, la marque des fondeurs d'argent d'Amsterdam. Type B, constitué de deux moitiés plates soudées ensemble en une barre rectangulaire allongée. L'ajustement final de la masse a été réalisé en coupant un coin. 1968 g. 155 x 43 x 33 mm.

zilver baar zilver van 4 kilo Amsterdam, voorzien van het keurmerk VOC/ MZ (Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, Middelburg, Zeeland) en een rozet. Type B, bestaande uit twee helften plat aan elkaar gelast in een rechthoekige staaf. De definitieve aanpassing van de massa werd bereikt door het snijden van een hoek van de staaf.

Very carefully formed and well-preserved ingot, with choice markings of an 8-sided rose (Amsterdam silversmiths) and the Zeeland VOC monogram on one side, diagonal casting seam at one end and typical sunken pit with encrustation and diagonal assayer's bite at other end, nicely toned and meticulously certified. With original certificate from the salvager. Recovered from: Slot ter Hooge, sunk in 1724 off the Madeira Islands

Formed in two slightly offset halves, with one end of both halves sliced and assayed, choice markings of an 8-sided rose (Amsterdam silversmiths) and the Zeeland VOC monogram on one of the flat sides (as opposed to the two sides that show the seam), nicely toned and meticulously certified. With original certificate from the salvager. Recovered from: Slot ter Hooge, sunk in 1724 off the Madeira Islands
